Black 2 Nature was created in partnership with the Sierra Club to explore why, in 2018, less than 1% of visitors to U.S. National Parks identified as Black. The series delves into the historical trauma, barriers, and perceptions that have contributed to the Black community’s lack of representation in outdoor spaces.
Pairing Black influencers and comedians with Black nature experts, the project brought these voices together for an engaging mix of comedic and heartfelt conversations as they explored national parks. Through this, the series tackled the broader issue of outdoor equity and highlighted the need for a more inclusive experience in nature.
